Dr. Christine A. Fink, DDS

General, Cosmetic & Restorative Dentistry · North Scottsdale, AZ

Dr. Fink founded Trinity Dental Care to give Scottsdale patients the kind of care that feels personal — not rushed, not corporate, and never dismissive of your concerns. She and her team handle dental emergencies with the same care and precision they bring to every appointment, and they take time to explain what’s happening and what your options are before any treatment begins.

Complex cases are welcome. If you’ve had prior dental work that didn’t go as planned and you need it corrected, Dr. Fink will evaluate your situation carefully and put together a treatment plan that makes sense for you.

What Happened? We've Seen It Before.

These are the situations we handle every week. If you’re dealing with any of them, call us — don’t wait.

Crown Fell Off

A loose or missing crown needs same-day attention. We’ll evaluate the tooth and reattach or replace your crown as quickly as possible.

Filling Fell Out

An exposed cavity is vulnerable to pain and further damage. Don’t put this off — we’ll get you in and protect the tooth before it gets worse.

Severe Tooth Pain

Pain that keeps you up at night isn’t something to manage at home. We’ll identify the cause and start treatment the same day when possible.

Broken or Chipped Tooth

Whether it happened at dinner or on the field, a broken tooth needs a dentist — not a wait-and-see approach. We’ll assess the damage and give you a clear plan.

Signs of Dental Infection

Swelling, fever, or throbbing pain around a tooth are warning signs. Dental infections can escalate quickly — please call us right away.

Damage from Prior Dental Work

We regularly see patients who need to correct problems caused elsewhere. Complex restorative cases are welcome. We’ll listen first and plan carefully.

Dental Emergency FAQs

We recommend a check-up every six months to maintain optimal oral health. However, if you have specific dental concerns, we may suggest more frequent visits.

Keep the crown if you still have it and avoid chewing on that side. Call our office as soon as possible. In some cases we can reattach the original crown; in others a new one may be needed. Either way, leaving the tooth exposed for too long increases the risk of damage or sensitivity.

Rinse your mouth gently with warm water and avoid chewing on that side. Over-the-counter dental cement (available at most pharmacies) can provide temporary relief, but it's not a permanent fix. Call us to get the tooth properly restored before decay or breakage sets in.

Common signs include throbbing or persistent pain, swelling in the gum, jaw, or face, a bad taste in your mouth, fever, or a pimple-like bump on the gum near the tooth. Dental infections can spread quickly — if you notice any of these symptoms, contact us right away.

It depends on the severity. A minor chip with no pain can typically wait a few days. A break that exposes the inner tooth, causes significant pain, or has sharp edges that cut your mouth should be seen as soon as possible to prevent further damage or infection.

That's exactly what we're here to diagnose. Tooth pain has many causes — a cracked tooth, decay, an abscess, grinding, or a failing restoration — and identifying the right one matters before any treatment begins. Call us and describe your symptoms; we'll help determine how urgently you need to be seen.

Yes. We regularly see patients who need to correct or complete work started elsewhere. Dr. Fink will evaluate your situation thoroughly and explain your options clearly before any treatment begins.

You're not alone — many of our patients come to us after avoiding the dentist for years, often because of anxiety or a past bad experience. We take a gentle, judgment-free approach and will always explain what we're doing and why before we proceed.

It helps to know your insurance provider and member ID if you have it, a brief description of what's happening and when it started, and whether you've had any recent dental work on the affected tooth. The more we know when you call, the faster we can help.
